About Lyghtondown

Lyghtondown has been a long time in the pipe line, and continues to be "a work in progress".  It started some years ago when my wife and I lived elsewhere and a spare room presented an opportunity to re-kindle a long lost hobby: we chose to build a model railway.

As with so many things in life, what felt like a settled situation wasn't and we moved home and the railway was stored away awaiting a time when, once again, time and space allowed the drive to create to resurface.  Finally, the planets aligned (or what ever else controls the vagaries of life and luck) and we cleared out another spare room and once again restarted our modelling journey (in 4 mm).

As far as "Lyghtondown" is concerned this is a fictional location buried in the back waters of Sussex on one of the ubiquitous branch lines running roughly north-south through the country side threading a torturous route between numerous wooded hills.
